I want to thank you for the video you made in collaboration with Barack Obama’s speech of hope and change. Yes We Can! With tears in my eyes, I am filled with a new hope for myself for the first time in several years. I have been sick, unable to work, with little hope of recovery. Like you, I have been saddened and frustrated by the outcome of the last several elections. I have felt as if my voice is no longer strong enough to bring about good change and with great sadness have watched our politicians ignore the will and desire of the people. Anyone can come up with ways to raise money and get sponsors, kids can do skipping a certain number of skips, some people cycle a certain distance, last year I walked 50km in 24 hours practicing for a similar event,,, anything that can raise sponsorship money including small businesses who pledge money for the completed event...

Lisa Gibbons from Entertainment Tonight was one of the biggest stars of the show in 1988 and it raised mega amounts, actually Perth Telethon on Channel 7 Perth is the largest per capita fundraising event in the world - just in the tiny city of Perth Australia they raised over 6 million last year in this one Telethon event http://telethon.7perth.com.au/. With all the celebrities backing Barack Obama like Kelly Hu, Robert De nero and the Kennedy's (plus lots more) it could make for a great national unifying event.
